Fushimi Inari Shrine is symbolized by its red Torii gates. The red color is called Syuiro(vermilion color) in Japanese, and the Syuiro represents a feeling of cheerful hope, which is the source of life, mother earth, and production. It is the origin of faith for the spirit of Inari Ookami.
