Another Episode of Foreign Travellers to Japan

Hello, this is Hidekura Tamonin of "Travel to Japan!"

Though there are so many foreign travellers to Japan, many of them can be easliy get lost.
Here comes the another episode about them.

Whem my acquaintance was visiting Wakayama,
which is a prefecture located rather west part in Japan, he met Americans there.
As they looked lost, he helped and asked them the reason of visiting Wakayama, and they said they wanted to visit Kumano area which is the world heritage and also wanted to pray at the shrine to yearn for the Japanese soul which is called famously Kumano-moude in Japanese.
They were very interested in the 8 million gods in Japan compared by the only one god, Christ, in America.
(The photo on your right hand side is the another Holly Place like Kumano,
named Koya-san Holly place.)

Though there are many guide-books for travellers which contain the information
of how to get to the famous sightseeing areas, most of them are not sufficient
or sometimes not translated into English.Therefore, I'm trying to translate
such books into English!
So far, I've already translated three of such eBooks into English
and they are already published at the eBook store such as

Many travellers to Japan easily get lost!

Hello, this is Hidekura Tamonin of "Travel to Japan!"

Though there are so many foreign travellers to Japan, many of them can be easliy get lost since the transportation system in Japan is very complicated especially at urban areas such as
Shinjyuku in Tokyo or Umeda in Osaka.

So, when you visit to Japan and if you'd like to use public traffic systems, you should be careful not to get lost.
(Especially subway is so complicated that even a Japanese commuter sometimes gets lost.)

Though there are many guide-books for travellers which contain the information of how to get to the famous sightseeing areas, most of them are not sufficient or sometimes not translated into English.

Therefore, I'm trying to translate such books into English!

So far, I've already translated three of such eBooks into English

Another Episode of Foreign Traveller.(Cont'd)

Hello, this is Hidekura Tamonin of "Travel to Japan!"

As there are so many foreign travellers to Japan,
I have many stories about them to tell you all.

I'll tell another interesting story about them this time.

When I was on the express train to Matsumoto
(Matsumoto is a name of a city in Kofu-prefecture in Japan
where famous Matsumoto Castel is still remaining) on business,
some foreign young travellers were on the same compartment
of the train.

As the compartment was reserved seated, one of the young
traveller sat next to me after checking the seat number to me.

I found that they came from Australia to Japan for their
school excursing abroad.
(When I asked he said that they were studying Japanese
culture and they decided to come to Japan for the purpose
of school excursion as that season was very good for viewing
cherry blossoms.)

The guy next to me was quite normal, but another young traveller
who sat near our seat was a little bit strange.

How strange? You'll find soon.

Suddenly, he opened something which he had bought at
famous Akihabara shop in Tokyo just before maybe.

It was a plastic model robot kit, and he instantly
assembled and demonstrated it on the aisle of the
compartment!

The robot was remote controlled feature and it
had a funny movement at which every passenger
of the compartment laughed.

Anyway, as they were going to Matsumoto and
the guy next to me said they surely visited famous
Matsumoto Castle there.

below, however, they are not Matsumoto Castle, but
Himeji Castle located near Osaka.)

There are so many foreign travellers in Japan!

Hello, this is Hidekura Tamonin of "Travel to Japan!"

This time, I'll write what I encountered a few years ago.

When I was going back from office to my house,
I happened to see a foreign traveller who was
asking to somebody near him at the station.

However, nobody could answer his question in English.

As he was at a loss, I asked "What's wrong with you?
Can I help you?"

Then his face quickly changed happily and he called
his family(I found that they are his family later)
around there.

They (father, mother, and their son) were visiting
Japan to climb Mt.Fuji and that day was their
returing from Mt.Fuji to their hotel, and they could
not find out what train they should take.
That's why the father(looked very forcible style
as to Japanese doesn't want to be involved) was
asking the way at the station.

Not only tell them how to get to the hotel, as the
hotel was not so far, I took them to the hotel.

On the way to the hotel, I talked a lot with the
father traveller and I found that he is a state
detective in America.
(I forget the name of the state.)
That's why he looked very strong!

And I found that the mother traveller was
visting Japan on business and she took them
with her to visit Mt.Fiji together.

Though my English is not so good, the mother
traveller said "Your English is much better
than the English spoken by German people.
Last time when I visited Germany, I couldn't
understand their English."
(This doesn't true to all German people
of course!)

So, that was the thing I did good for foreign tavellers.

Hello every Blogger!

I you read the blog title and profile, you can easily understand
the purpose of this blog.
However, as this is my first posing, I have to introduce myself.

My name is Hidekura Tamonin and I'm a computer system's
engineer.

I used to live in California and I got my Master's Degree in
Computer Science in America.
(Though I have my Bachelor's Degree in Japan!)
Though I'm working for Japanese company currently,
I used to work for the affiliated company in Americal
for three years, and it was located at what is called Silicon Vally
(Computer mecca) in America.

Those who are accessing this Blog title is probably
interested in Japan or travelling to Japan.

I translated several such a kind of eBooks into
English for those who would like to read such books
in English and enjoy Japanaese mysterious secnaries.
